Good-Bye WordPress!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , on August 8, 2010 by Gray[Matality]

Yesterday, I have decided to stop blogging in WordPress and transfer over to Tumblr instead of running both at the same time, so It’s not good-bye forever; I had the Tumblr blog for awhile now and it would be better for me to focus on one instead of doing double the work. I don’t know why I’m moving blog services, probably because Tumblr seems more user friendly compared to WordPress. So, to whoever reads my blog, hope that you’ll continue to read it over at Tumblr.

World Cup Final: Spain 1:0 Netherlands

Today’s final match was a slow one compared to the third place match (Germany vs Uruguay), but both teams played strong until the end. Arjen Robben (NED) and Sergio Ramos (ESP) almost scored a goal during the second half, but it led to the extra time with a 0:0. During the extra time, both teams were going back and forth trying to at least make a goal, but had no luck whatsoever. On the 116-117 minutes, Andres Iniesta finally made the winning goal for the Spanish team and that led Spain to their first World Cup title.

My Thoughts About the Game
The referee should have given de Jong a red card for that Spartan kick and it was entertaining to watch when Iniesta revenged Van Bommel after getting hit in the foot. Lastly, what was Fernando Torres doing in this match?

Congratulations to Spain for their first World Cup win, but the finals wasn’t as good as the third place match.

2010 FIFA World Cup Predictions

Posted in Interests with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 8, 2010 by Gray[Matality]

FIFA World Cup is starting in just a few more days (3 to be exact) and I have been waiting for this day since the last one ended, because soccer does not usually show here in the United States besides the Spanish-speaking channels; I’m a HUGE fan of soccer since I was a child, because I used to play ball almost everyday while growing up in Brazil. For this year’s World Cup, I decided to do a prediction bracket based on my knowledge and statistics. It was challenging to choose some of the 16 countries in their designated groups in the Round of 16 phase, but I managed to do it; later, it became very easy when it went down to the quarter, semi, and final. This is just my predictions and anything extraordinary can occur this year. Therefore, good luck to every country that is participating in this year’s World Cup!

PS: Based on this excerpt, you probably know who I’m cheering for, but those that do not, GO BRAZIL!!

Things that got me interested

  1. Wondering how far South Africa is going to go aside from the referees cheating because their coach is Carlos Alberto Parreira, also known as the coach that led Brazil to quarter-finals in 2006.
  2. The coach of Argentina is Diego Maradona.
  3. How well is North Korea going to play throughout the World Cup?
  4. Why is Dunga (coach from Brazil) not letting Ronaldinho play as a regular?
  5. Hate how either Brazil or Portugal have to verse with Spain in the Round of 16.
  6. Watching Brazil vs Portugal before the Round of 16!!

Valve’s Portal for FREE!

Posted in Game with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 12, 2010 by Gray[Matality]

The game Portal from the people who brought us Half-Life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, etc. is now giving to customers for FREE through Steam (until May 24th)! Portal, winning over 40 awards, was released in Oct 2007 inside a bundle that contained ‘Half-Life 2: Episode 2′ and ‘Team Fortress 2′ called the ‘The Orange Box.” Later, Portal was being sold as a standalone product in April ’08 distributed by EA. Portal is a neat little game that mixes a series of puzzles with first-person shooter. The only gun that the character acquires is the portal gun which allows the character to teleport from place to place until it reaches the end of the room. Things that are necessary are the gun and (your) brain in order to complete each level.

There’s also a flash game that I recommend to check it out before downloading based on Portal that someone has made.
Portal: The Flash Version

Download (need Steam installed)

Also a sequel to Portal, Portal 2, was announced in March 2010 and it’s expected to release by the end of this year.
